Ringling President Larry Thompson had the 'crazy idea', his quote, to produce a world class design summit that would spark imaginations, spread new concepts and introduce the fantastic. Mary worked closely with Larry and was instrumental in bringing the idea to reality.
The Sarasota International Design Summit was successfully launched in 2006 - the first of its kind for Ringling.
Successive Summits hosted TED Talk luminaries, eco-experts, international design champions, writers, storytellers and extraordinary thinkers. Mary worked mostly behind the scenes but her passion for design, detail + dazzle was evident.
